My entourage

I am grateful for my love ones who came and visited me. You got me through those time when I felt so homesick and lost and have left behind those great memories which I will forever cherished.
All the fun times we have captured.

‘Well, you know the way I see it, if you’re here for four more year or four more weeks, you are here right now. When you’re somewhere you ought to be there because it’s not about how long you stay in a place. It’s about what you do while you’re there, and when you go is that place any better for you having been there?’

When there is no absolutes.

The last 6 month was nothing like what I had imagined when I first board that flight to a city which I long to find “that something” to fill the emptiness within me.
Time has flied, the brown maple leaves that were falling from the bark had been replaced by the luscious green and infinite colours that is blooming in the garden. I am now standing in the end of spring, reflecting on the past 6 months.
After month of searching for a QA job, the opportunity for pastry apprenticeship jumped at me, I eagerly took up the offer wondering (with God approval) could this be a wonderful start to my baking dream?? which I have long desire for.
It was one harsh winter which I had endured. Waking up in the cold early morning and running to make sure I don’t missed my public transport to work. Work was physically demanding, although I was making my fav macaron, I felt like a labourer just producing to endless numbers to meet stock. Constantly falling sick as I wasn't taking care of myself make me homesick to death. So I decided to quit the job.
Since then I have been waiting for God to open another door opportunity. It has been a long wait until I was accepted by another French café but I was quickly dropped after a week. It was devastating and I just felt like I have had enough, should I give up now?
But the Lord showed me- Trust in Lord with all your heart, do not rely on your own understanding, but in all things acknowledge me and I will make your path straight.
He is watching over me.
When I am weak, God becomes strong.

God has taken me on a journey, through which I have learnt to rejoice and remain hopeful and continue to have faith in him no matter what the circumstances are. When there is no absolute, HE is still in control.

Melbourne I am not done with you as yet.

My 26th birthday!

Celebrated I turned 26 two weeks ago, 1st birthday without my family and close friends by my side.
I have prepared my heart for this, deep down I know I am not alone, so I don't need my love ones around me every year to remind me that. Nevertheless, thank you so much for all the birthday wishes and msg everyone!! (incl my 2 bros! Who I thought generally don’t give a damn). I still feel very loved even though I am all the way here:)
I spent the day on the bus, a day trip to Great Ocean rd and the famous Twelve Apostles. It was super cold, felt the chill, gustily wind pierced thru my skin while trying to enjoy the view (still struggling to get use to Melbourne's sunless weather).
Overall, it was a pleasantly nice and relaxing trip:))

Only 7 and a 1/2 Apostles left (photo taken and Instagramed by me, nice rite?)

Me n my Tiramisu cake :))
E and his video camera

For dinner we ended up at China Bar Signature buffet (cause the only table we could get at Nobu was 10pm!?)
But we ended up at China bar at 9pm, the restaurant close at 10pm (buffet in 1 hour -.-)
Love buffet in general so I don’t mind. China bar really have a great varieties from Seafood bar, Yum cha corner, Japanese kitchen, cook to order, Malaysian satay to Chinese Banquet ie. Peking duck and of course the dessert. Overall the taste is quite good, above average for buffet quality (except for the dessert).
I think we did pretty well in 1 hour, managed to get my hand on everything. But my ph died as we arrived, so only took 4 photos (sad).

A present surprise

Both my sis and sw came over to visit me last week. She surprised me by appearing at the front step of my apartment with my brother in law. I was so stunt, cos it was so nicely covered up by everyone I have no idea at all. Then sw arrived on the same day they left. Really enjoyed their companies, we went sightseeing, shopping, dine in heaps of restaurants (mainly in the CBD) and eat till our hearts content. Did all the things which I wouldn't have enjoyed if I was by myself.
Here are the restaurants we visited
